Background Building Activities
Activity 1:
In this assignment you are to create a new page named Activities that includes external links to websites found on the World Wide Web and an internal link to an existing file in The Striped Umbrella website. You will also update the Spa page by adding named anchors and internal links. Most importantly, you will replace the current navigation bars on all of your pages with a Spry menu bar and create hot spots on the banner inserted into each page that links to the home page. This will give the website a more professional look. Your client has provided three files to assist you. These files can be found under Module 9 on the Student Resources page and in your Dreamweaver student file folder. Step by step instructions with explanations can be found in your training manual on pages Dreamweaver 131 through Dreamweaver 153.  Three video tutorials are available to assist you: Creating a Spry Menu Bar, Editing a Spry Menu Bar, and Formatting a Spry Menu Bar. Please do not hesitate to email your mentor using the Subject Line "Request for Help" if you have any problems or questions in creating these pages. After you have tested the links on your pages and compared the spa page to Figure F-21 on page 147 and the activities page to Figure F-24 on page 149, find this assignment on your Google Classroom and MARK AS DONE. Your mentor will preview the pages and provide feedback.

Activity 2:
If you haven't already done so, begin this assignment by composing an email to your mentor explaining the difference between an absolute path for a link and a relative path for a link. Provide an example for each (Skills Review, step 1). After composing your email, create a new page in the Blooms and Bulbs website named Newsletter that includes external links to websites found on the World Wide Web, named anchors, and internal links to both the named anchors and existing files in the Blooms and Bulbs website. You will also add three more additional files to the site named Annuals, Perennials, and Water_plants. You will link to each of these files by creating internal links from text in the Plants page. Most importantly, you will replace the current navigation bars on all of your pages of the Blooms and Bulbs website with a Spry menu bar and create hot spots on the banner inserted into each of the pages that links to the home page. This will give the website a more professional look. Your client has provided three files to assist you. These files can be found under Module 9 on the Student Resources page and in your Dreamweaver student file folder. Step by step instructions can be found in your training manual on pages Dreamweaver 155 through 158.  Please do not hesitate to email your mentor using the Subject Line "Request for Help" if you have any problems or questions creating these pages. When you are finished, test your links and compare your work to the Unit F Skills Review Rubric found in Module 9 of the Student Resources page. When you are finished, find this assignment on your Google Classroom and MARK AS DONE. Your mentor will provide feedback.

Activity 3:
